NVIBE CAREMI

NVIBE/CAREMI Graduate Student Showcase

May 11th, 2026 ~9:00am – 1:30pm at Morrison 169

Sponsored by NVIBE, we will have a graduate student showcase involving short talks from graduate students across CAREMI PIs and beyond. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. 

Please register here to give us an idea of how many people to expect and encourage your graduate students to submit a short abstract to present their work.

The opening of this exhibit, at the Great Plains Art Museum, will be August 7th, with a large reception to celebrate the exhibit on August 19th, 2026, which is the evening event for our annual Arthropodium.

Save the date! August 19th, 2026 will be the third annual Arthropodium and we will have many exciting opportunities available. The day will begin with a keynote presentation from Marlene Zuk whose research focuses on insect mating behavior and parasite defenses. Marlene is the author of multiple popular books focused on evolution and animal behavior and has a new book coming out soon. Joseph Yoon of Brooklyn Bugs will provide the closing keynote and the day will end with the reception to celebrate the Jennifer Angus installation including opening remarks from Jennifer and catering in collaboration with Joseph Yoon. This will be a day not to be missed!

2026 American Arachnological Society Annual Meeting

We are thrilled to announce that AAS 2026 will be held on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus in Lincoln, Nebraska hosted by Eileen Hebets and the Hebets Lab.
